How to configure your camera

  1. Connect the web camera to your computer.
  2. Make sure the computer recognized the camera. You can check what devices are there plugged in at "My Computer" page (Windows) or the "Finder" window(OSX) .
  3. Click the "Public" or "My page" button (You need to signin) on the top of the page or on the homepage.
  4. In the window, click on the camera button camera button, show the Video Sources drop down menu and select your camera in the list. If it is an embedded webcam then it will appear as "USB Video Class Video". If it is a plugged in DV Camera then it will appear as "DV Video".
  5. Your video should appear in the window with pink colored border.

Note: When the window opens for the first time, it asks you if want to "Allow" or "Deny" Camera and Microphone access. You should always click "Allow".
If at any point you click "Deny" then the window will never show up again. When this occurs, you will have to reset it.

How to configure your microphone

  1. Plug in your audio device to you computer.
  2. Open the "Public" or "My page" (You need to signin) from the top of the page or on the homepage.
  3. In the window, click the microphone button mic button and select the audio device from the Audio Sources drop down menu. If you have a mic plugged into the input on your computer or laptop then select "Built-in Input". If you want to use the embedded webcam mic then select "Built-in Microphone". If you want to use the audio from a DV camera then you need to connect it to your laptop via a cable connection (i.e. XLR to 1/8" jack or 1/8" jack to 1/8" jack) and then select "Built-in Input".
  4. Our initial settings of your microphone gain value is "0" (it is muted.) Microphone gain slider

    So click the microphone icon and recognize your microphone. If Utagoe Live100 recognizes your microphone device, a mic gain meter will react. microphone gain meter

Does Utagoe Live100 work with iSight for Mac?

Yes, however Adobe Flash does not default to your iSight camera. To change to your iSight, pick USB Video Class Video from the drop down box that says Video Sources.

How to configure sound volume

Utagoe Live100 sets all live streamings volume muted as a default. If you want to unmute the all live streamings, click the unmute button. all mute/unmute button (But it may be noisy.)

And if you want to unmute the some of the live streaming, click the volume icon on the live streaming window.

Can I control user access?

Utagoe Live100 shows the your live streamings at "Public" page if you want or don't. If you don't want to show your live streaming at 'Public' , you should set the access control password.

Setting your access control password enables to hide you form "Public" page and if someone access at your page directly, they cannot watch your live streaming unless they know your access control password.

If you want to set your access control password, go to "Setting" page and check "Edit your access control password".
